Santiago Castro

President, Asobancaria Colombia

Economist and political scientist with expertise in Public Administration from Harvard University. He has been Director of the Civil Aviation where he managed, among other things, the delivery of the new El Dorado Airport. It has also served as Congressman of the Republic, a position in which he led several tax and financial reforms. He has also been Deputy Valle del Cauca and Alderman of the city of Cali. He currently serves as President of the Banking Association and financial institutions of Colombia (Asobancaria).

Daniel Cohen

Senior VP, Digital Payments and Labs, MasterCard

Daniel Cohen is Senior Vice President, Digital Payments and Labs for MasterCard Latin America and Caribbean. In this role, he is responsible for leading the development and commercialization of innovative payment solutions that can be used at the check-out counter, via the web, mobile phone, tablet, and beyond.

Previously, Mr. Cohen headed MasterCard’s operations in Israel as Country Manager. He was responsible for opening MasterCard’s first office in the country and expanding the company’s local payments footprint. During his time as Country Manager, he led the commercialization of breakthrough innovative payment solutions in the electronic and mobile commerce space.

Allen Cueli

Senior Director, Mobile Solutions, Visa Inc.

Allen Cueli is a Senior Director, heading up the Mobile Solutions team for Visa’s Latin America and Caribbean Region, where he’s responsible for enhancing the cardholder experience along the mobile channel, including mobile payments. Most recently, he’s led engagements with a portfolio of North American clients to drive a strategic integration of Visa Checkout, Visa’s streamlined remote commerce solution and also worked on collaborative innovation development with Signature US financial institutions, helping to identify customer pain points and designing solutions for trialing that delivered differentiated user experiences.

Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, Allen has significant international experience, including serving as the Regional Head of Small Business for Visa Latin America and Caribbean, where he established and expanded the payment product portfolio for the small business segment.

With over 20 years of experience, Mr. Cueli has developed a deep base of product management and business development expertise across both developed and emerging markets within the Innovation space with Ecommerce and Mobile payments as well as core payment solutions like Debit and Commercial Solutions.

Prior to joining Visa, Allen held different roles at companies including Florida Power & Light, Burger King, Baxter Healthcare and Foster Higgins.

Mr. Cueli studied at the University of Florida and Florida International University (FIU), obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He’s currently active as a coach in youth sports and as a volunteer at the Schott Communities, a South Florida charity serving the deaf and disabled. Allen is based in Miami where he lives with his wife and three children.

Daniel Andrade

Director, Mobile Solutions, Visa Inc., Latin America and Caribbean Region

Daniel Andrade is the Director of Mobile Solutions for Visa Latin America and the Caribbean. In this position, Daniel is responsible for the development of Visa’s mobile innovation efforts and managing business development for issuers and partners.

Most recently, Daniel was the Mobile Payments Director in Visa Brazil with responsibility for all aspects of mobile strategy and product development, as well as digital partnerships.

Prior to joining Visa in 2010, Daniel worked at 3COM (Palm Top Division) and Oi Paggo, pioneer solution in mobile payments in Brazil, where he served as the Business Development Manager. In that role, he was responsible for the key accounts management including marketing, acquiring and the development of joint business strategies.

Daniel earned a Bachelor of Marketing degree from FAAP Brazil and MBA from USP University in São Paulo.

Mario Hernandez

Mario Hernández is founder and CEO of IMPESA®, an electronic payments solutions company and creator of Monibyte®, an innovative SaaS corporate payments platform, and a principal member and issuer of Visa and MasterCard credit cards.

In January 2015, less than a year after Monibyte was released, he received an international award for Best Innovation in Retail and Commercial Banking and was interviewed at the London Stock Exchange.

Mario is an expert in payments solutions focusing on new technologies and innovation. He has had a successful trajectory of more than 16 years in the financial sector in several countries, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean. In 2008, he was transferred to Canada and appointed Credit Cards Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at the corporate offices of Scotiabank Toronto.

Mario completed his undergraduate studies at ITESM in Monterrey, Mexico, obtaining a degree in industrial and systems engineering. He earned his MBA from Bryant University in 1997, and in 2008 he completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He has been a teacher at the level of graduate studies in several universities and has been invited to participate in lectures, conferences and training courses internationally, including in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, the United States, Chile, Canada and Kazakhstan. He has published numerous articles in leading financial newspapers and magazines, and was recognized as an outstanding 40 Under 40 Leader by El Financiero in 2008.
